"Swachchta Hi Sewa Pakhwara" started in BBJ on 15th September 2018

As per directives of the Department of Heavy Industry (DHI), Govt. of India, Swachhta Hi Sewa (SHS) initiative has begun in The Braithwaite Burn and Jessop Construction Co. Ltd. (BBJ), Kolkata, Registered Office on 15th September, 2018. This programme will continue till 02 October, 2018.

During the period from 15th Sept. to 02 October'18 a special drive of cleaning of streets, drains, waste collections drive in households, door to door awareness drive, awareness campaign for better sanitation and hygiene awareness etc. taken by the Company's Regd. Office, Heavy Plant Yard site and various project sites at all over India. The "Swachchta Pledge" were administered to the officers and employees in the Regd. Office and other site offices. Banners were displayed to spread the cleanliness awareness message.

On this occasion Sunder Banerjee, CMD, BBJ has also announced a scheme of award to be given to the officers, employees and workers of the Company for commendable performance in carrying out the task of cleaning effectively at their places of work, residence, neighbourhood, which includes their spouse and family members also. Awareness on 'Cleanliness is service' will be given wide publicity through voluntarily Shramdaan by involving members of public from the locality..
