The Braithwaite Burn and Jessup Construction Company Limited (BBJ) celebrated Hindi Pakhwada from 01 to 15 September, 2021.
The Pakhwada began with a "Message" issued by the Chairman and Managing Director regarding working in Hindi for the employees of the Company.
During this period, as a special effort by the Government, employees signed in Hindi, wrote comments in Hindi and conducted
Hindi correspondence. During the Pakhwada, the views of scholars / great men about Hindi and their hymns and popular slogans
on the official language were displayed by getting them printed on flex banners / stickers at prominent places of the registered office.
Online Hindi workshop was organized on 03.09.2021, in which Register. work. It was also attended by the employees
posted at the construction site of the Company including the employees of the Company. To promote Hindi language,
Hindi essay writing and general Hindi knowledge and letter writing competitions were also organized among the
employees through distance mode.
Official language pledge was taken on the occasion of Hindi Diwas-2021 on September 14, as per the instructions
of the Official Language Department's letter. "Rapid (Crash) Translation Training Program" was organized in the
company on 15.09.2021, in which Shri Naveen Kumar Prajapati, Senior Adviser and Center Head, Central Translation
Bureau, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Kolkata invited as lecturer. The designated
employees of the company were benefitted by the conduct of this training programme.
"Prize Distribution Ceremony" was organized in the Conference Hall of the Registered Office of the Company
on 15th September, 2021. Shri Sundar Banerjee, Chairman and Managing Director congratulated the winners of
various competitions and A.K. along with other Directors and General Managers. P.N. Awards and certificates
were presented by Shri Naveen Kumar Prajapati of Central Translation Bureau along with senior officers
of the company were also present on the occasion. The program was conducted by Shri Prabhu Dayal,
in-charge of official language. The Chairman and Managing Director requested to increase the participation
of more employees in Hindi competitions and to increase the use of Hindi in office work.
