METRO RAILWAY PROJECTS
India has developed rapid transit systems to
make travel easier for commuters across cities. Metro rail is
successfully running across few cities to cater to the
increasing needs of people in cities. The first rapid transit
system in India was the Kolkata Metro, which started operations
in 1984.
BBJ has undertaken construction of different metro railway
projects. Recently BBJ has provided valuable contribution on
some major metro railway projects like Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai
Metro etc.
The total erection carried out over rail track without
disturbing the rail movement. Total erection carried out at
night keeping the road traffic flow intact etc. are some of the
challenges during construction of metro railway projects. Some
