SKOCH AWARD - 2014

In a glittering ceremony, Shri Sameer Kochhar, Chairman of Skoch Group conferred this highest independent honour in India at New Delhi to The Braithwaite Burn and Jessop Construction Company Limited, Kolkata for India's Best Projects-2014 on 20th November, 2014 in Delhi. Subsequently, the SKOCH Award for the mega Project 'Rail-cum-Road Bridge' over river Ganga at Munger - Bihar, was given by Hon'ble Union Minister Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu on 21st November, 2014.

The Braithwaite Burn & Jessop Construction Company Limited, a Government of India undertaking, successfully completed a mega project of worth ` 995 crore to become a ` 300 crore company in 2013 - 14. The project - "Rail-cum-Road Bridge across river Ganga" at Munger, Bihar - not only increased the profitability and turnover of the company but by linking the North and South Banks of Ganga at Munger by substantially reduced the inadequacy of infrastructural link across Ganga for the flow resources, thereby improving the overall economic development of the state. By using the latest technology and the machineries, the BBJ has enhanced its engineering and quality standards for its future projects.
